About Me

I am an accredited member of The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and The American Board of Hypnotherapy, adhering to their ethical standards of code and conduct.  Past work has included Phoenix Counselling Services in Dagenham, Space4U in Spalding, The Riverside Project for the homeless in Cambridge and Lifecraft Cambridge (for those with mental health difficulties). I am currently a counsellor at Centre 33, as well as offering private counselling at Romsey Mill in Cambridge and now also within central London.. I also work with Clarion and First Class Support, assisting students with disabilities throughout their academic study and professional electronic note-taking for those who are deaf.

I have been a member of TGCambs for many years offering social contact, support, meetings and outings for any affected by trans issues as well as the LGBT Society during University. I also work as a Trade Union representative  ensuring fairness and safety standards are upheld throughout a store.

Throughout the year I attend many workshops to continue training and these have included exploring mental health, abuse, mindfulness, alcoholism, and expression of spirituality. I have also introduced and facilitated discussion groups on head injuries, transgenderism, using music in therapy, relaxation and positive thought and using creativity and story-telling within therapy.

I believe every person is unique and each situation is a potential for a new journey or realisation to be sought.  Being transsexual, I have a deeper understanding of transgender issues. I do not believe there is ever a ‘right’ way to transition since each person must find their own balance and speed.
